After almost 56 years, the Class of 1970 is finally coming together again as a class.
Not in theory. Not in planning.
But in person, at the Royal Selangor Club.
As of now, 29 participants have confirmed. Some will fly 10 to 20 hours to be there - no small effort at this stage of life. Others will travel from within Malaysia. But all arriving for the same reason: to reconnect with a part of life that has refused to leave us, even as our paths took different directions.

The Plan
Time: 12.00 pm - 6.00 pm
Date: 13 June 2026 (Saturday)
Venue: Royal Selangor Club (Dataran Merdeka), Kuala Lumpur
Programme: Banana Leaf Lunch, followed by fellowship… and Karaoke
No elaborate agenda. Just time to meet, talk, and reconnect.
Karaoke remains part of the programme.
Participation is entirely optional. Listening, however, may not be.
What This Gathering is About
This is not a large reunion by numbers. It was never meant to be.
It brings together those who care - friends whose connections began in Taiping and have quietly endured across decades.
No expectations. No formalities. Just a chance to sit across from one another, chill and catch up, with Light Music and Karaoke for those interested.
Matters to Take Note
* Dress Code
No sports attire (men and women)
No collor-less T-Shirts (men only)
No shorts (men and women)
No sandals or slippers, only shoes or sneakers (men only)
Smart casual is encouraged at all times
* Parking Lots
Participants can park their cars at the club’s parking lots located along the road opposite the club’s front façade.
If you see a plastic cone blocking a parking space, please remove the cone and park your car there. Prior permission has been obtained for the use of these parking lots.

* Debit Cards
Debit Cards will be available for participants to purchase their own drinks.
These cards can be obtained from the club’s reception counter upon payment of a refundable deposit of RM5.00. Participants may top up the cards with any amount of their choosing.
Any unutilised balance, together with the RM5.00 deposit, will be refunded whenever the participant chooses to redeem the card.
Please note that only cash transactions are accepted for the Debit Cards.
* Why you must be on time - the practical reason
The event is scheduled to begin with a Banana Leaf Lunch at 12.30 pm. The lunch will be served in a non-airconditioned area at one end of the club. Immediately after lunch, at around 1.00 pm, we will move into the Cellar Bar inside the main building.
If you arrive late, the group may already have finished lunch and moved to the Cellar Bar, which is about 70 metres away. You may then have to do your lunch on your own while the rest have already settled inside.
So please, please try to be on time. It would help greatly if everyone could arrive by 12.00 noon so we can begin the lunch together.
On 13 June 2026, at the Royal Selangor Club,
31 of us will meet again.
After 56 years, that alone makes the event special.
