![]() 2023 - RSC KLOur first Banana Leaf Get-Together happened in May 2023, a month after the OGA reunion in Taiping. Dave Khoo from Canada who was visiting Malaysia, had missed the big event and messaged the group with regret. A few of us met up to cheer up and welcome him with lunch - and just like that, a new tradition was born - The Annual RSC Banana Leaf Get-Together. | ![]() 2024 - RSC KLThe 3rd RSC Banana Leaf Get-Together took place in September 2024. For some reason, we had already had one earlier that year (can’t quite recall why we ended up with two in 2024!). Seated around the table were: Raja, Thean Hock, Say Chin, Kok Wah, Choy Kai, and Alban Lee. | ![]() 2025 - RSC KLThe 4th RSC Banana Leaf Get-Together was held in the first week of July 2025. Eleven were expected, but two had to cancel last-minute. Still, the spirit was strong as nine of us gathered around the table: Choy Kai, Kok Wah, Chong Beng, Manjit, Say Chin, Thean Hock, Ka Bian, Kim Soon, and Raja. |

![]() 2025Tpg - B4 OGA dinnerThis dinner was held on the night before the Reunion Dinner proper in Taiping. James Chin had invited some of us to dinner. But, after dinner Ka Bian quietly went behind the counter and made the payment. James went ... WHAT?!! Ka Bian: "Come lah, Come lha .... next time you pay lah !!" :-)) | ![]() 2023Tpg - OGA ReunionThis photo was taken at Soon Lee Restaurant after a smoke. Ngee Fei, his wife, their maid 'Tun', and I had been seated at the same table. At one point, I noticed Ngee Fei quietly slip outside. I followed. We sat on a bench, and he lit a cigarette. I asked for one - and had my first smoke in 12 years. It also turned out to be my last. 😊 | ![]() 2023 TaipingThis is a classic “Ngee Fei Breakfast Moment.” You’ll almost always find him at this coffee stall in the mornings. Over time, it’s become a little tradition of sorts - Georgians from the 1970 batch, whenever they’re back in Taiping, make it a point to join NF here for breakfast. The stall sits quietly along Jalan Barrack, near SGI. |
![]() 2023 SingaporeWhen James Chin from Australia and Choy Kai from Malaysia (seated - R & centre) found themselves in Singapore at the same time, they decided on having a meal together. A quick call to our old classmate Tony Kwa set off a chain of messages - and soon, more Singapore-based Georgians joined in. What began as a simple catch-up turned into a warm mini-reunion over a fine Chinese meal. | ![]() 2023 Tpg - Ban Guan & GangPhoto No. 1 | ![]() 2024 Taiping-OGA ReunionA group photo. Seated are Ngee Fei, wife and maid. Of those standing, Ong Teng Chin, standing 4th from left has passed on. The rest of the motely crew are all from SGI Class 1970.
